Located in the village of Combeinteignhead in South Devon, there’s no shortage of things to see and do around The Coombe Cellars.
The village itself is a conservation area, filled with plenty of traditional cob and thatch properties, so it’s ideal for walkers and those looking to enjoy the great outdoors. There are also plenty of opportunities for fishing and pony trekking in the area. There’s also an interesting old church to explore!
Close by, you’ll also find the River Teign. This impressive 30-mile-long river winds its way down from Dartmoor to the sea at Teignmouth. With numerous species of bird and a vast range of wildlife, including Herons, Kingfishers, Grey Wagtails, and Otters, there’s plenty to see and do along the river bank. The Hackney Marshes Nature Reserve is also easily accessible from the village. Here you’ll find Buzzards, Kestrels and Pheasants, as well as butterflies, badgers, and voles, can be found amongst the marshes, meadows, and woodlands.
